Interesting news. Yahoo is planning on using microformats to enable a simple form of semantic search. This could indeed be the killer-app for the semantic web movement. The low cost of adding microformats weighs up against better search capabilities.

This mashup generator from IBM looks very promising, and goes a lot further than something like Yahoo Pipes. There are some videos in youtube about this, very nice to get a quick idea of what it does!
